On the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly WHA, Minister of Health Dr. Musab Al-Ali met with his Saudi counterpart, Fahd Al-Jalajel, Turkish counterpart, Kemal Memişoğlu, and Bahraini counterpart, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan.
The meetings discussed the current health situation in the world, ways of bilateral cooperation to improve health services, enhance citizens’ health, and promote joint cooperation in the health field
.Dr. Al-Ali affirmed commitment to building a comprehensive and sustainable healthcare system that serves all Syrians and enhances national and global health security as well as prioritizing the rebuilding and rehabilitation of healthcare infrastructure.
The 78th session of the World Health Assembly began yesterday in Geneva under the theme “One World for Health.” It will continue until May 27.
The WHA is the highest decision-making body of the World Health Organization, setting the organization’s policies and approving its budget.
