Geneva (ST) – The bilateral meetings held on Monday by the Syrian delegation led by Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash with his counterparts on the sidelines of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, focused on ways to develop joint work in the health field which will reflect positively on reaching comprehensive health coverage.
Dr. Al-Ghabbash expressed his gratitude to his, Palestinian, Lebanese, and Romanian counterparts for their countries’ humanitarian stance during the earthquake and for the humanitarian and medical assistance they provided.
He also discussed the current health conditions in the world and ways of boosting bilateral cooperation between Syria and each of Palestine, Lebanon and Romania, with the aim of improving the health services provided to citizens.
It is noteworthy that WHA is the decision-making body of the WHO (World Health Organization) and delegations from all its member states attend its work.
