Minister of Health, his Saudi counterpart discuss ways to develop Arab health cooperation

Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash discussed with his Saudi counterpart Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel ways to develop and enhance Arab health cooperation. Discussions were held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly, which is being held in Geneva.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ghabash expressed his thanks for Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian stance after the earthquake, underlining the importance of strengthening health cooperation between the two countries, especially in terms of medical training and exchanging experiences, which will reflect positively on the two countries people.

In turn, Al-Jalajel stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the health fields between the two countries, expressing his happiness with Syria’s participation in the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health held during the 76th session. It is the first ministerial meeting after the Jeddah Summit, in which the Kingdom welcomed the issuance of the Arab League’s decision regarding the resumption of the participation of Syrian government delegations in the meetings of the Arab League Council, hoping that this would contribute to supporting the stability of Syria.
