Minister of Emergency Situations and Disasters discusses ways to expand cooperation with Sweden

Minister Raed Saleh met with Jessica Svardstrom, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Kingdom of Sweden in Syria, to discuss ways to expand and enhance cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, Minister Saleh reviewed the ministry’s action plan for managing emergencies and disasters, as well as mechanisms to enhance readiness and effective response.

The discussion touched on the importance of supporting local organizations and achieving balance in humanitarian work, ensuring the sustainability of services and their accessibility to all those in need without discrimination.

They also discussed the government’s commitment to the principle of partnership and integration with civil society.
