Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management and the ICRC Director-General discuss challenges facing the Syrians

Minister Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Saleh discussed with the Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC Pierre Krähenbühl, the challenges facing the Syrian people, focusing on the issue of the missing and the increasing humanitarian needs.

 

During the meeting, which took place today on the sidelines of the Global Security Forum in Doha 2025, both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing humanitarian cooperation to address these challenges and support efforts to alleviate the suffering of Syrians.

 

Qatar is hosting the seventh session of the Global Security Forum 2025, titled “The Impact of Non-State Actors on Global Security,” from April 28 to April 30 of this year.
