Minister of Education Muhammad Amer Al-Mardini discussed with the Mauritanian Ambassador in Damascus Sidi Ould Douman ways to develop and strengthen educational cooperation relations between the two countries.
During the meeting held in the Ministry’s building today, Al-Mardini pointed to the necessity of strengthening relations, through developing cooperation plans, exchanging visits, and paying attention to preserving the identity and Arabic language of the students of the two countries. He indicated the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to exert more efforts to develop bilateral relations in various fields.

In turn, the Mauritanian ambassador in Damascus expressed his country’s desire to develop educational cooperation in a way that serves the interests of both countries, pointing out that Syria is considered the history and the beating heart of the Arab nation, and a country of cultural radiance at all levels.
Minister of Information Boutros Al-Hallaq also met with Ould Douman and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries, especially enhancing cooperation in the field of media.
