Minister of Education Discusses Joint Work Development with UNICEF Representative

Minister of Education Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko met with Yasumasa Kimura, the UNICEF representative in Syria, to explore avenues for developing relations and cooperation between the ministry and the organization.

Minister Turko emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring education for all children, highlighting the importance of coordination with the organization regarding the educational sector’s priorities for the upcoming phase.

For his part, Kimura underscored the significance of supporting the education process and the restoration and rehabilitation of schools in devastated areas to facilitate the return of their residents. He expressed the organization’s ongoing readiness to provide all necessary support to enhance the educational sector in Syria, commending the efforts made by the ministry in this regard.
