Minister of Economy arrives in Muscat to participate in the meetings of the 6th session of the joint Syrian-Omani governmental committee

The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, arrived today in the Omani capital, Muscat, to preside over the Syrian side in the meetings of the 6th session of the joint Syrian-Omani governmental committee.

Minister Al-Khalil and his accompanying delegation were received at Muscat Airport by Saeed bin Rashid Al-Qatbi, Director General of Social Sectors at the Omani Ministry of Economy, Imad Al-Ajmi, Director-General of Foreign Economic Relations and Chairman of the Ministry’s Organizations Committee, as well as Dr. Idris Mia, the Syrian Ambassador.

The Syrian-Omani Businessmen Forum will be opened tomorrow morning, with the participation of about 60 businessmen representing major Syrian companies, and more than 100 representatives of various Omani companies.

The work of the forum is held by the Joint Business Council under the slogan “Development of Syrian-Omani Economic Cooperation and  will start between the 10th and 14th of this month, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
