Minister of Agriculture and a delegation from the German Development Agency discuss ways to advance Syria’s agricultural sector

During his meeting yesterday with a delegation from the German Development Agency, Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Dr. Mohammad Taha Al-Ahmad discussed agricultural cooperation relations and identified the agricultural needs to promote both plant and animal sectors in Syria.

 

Minister Al-Ahmad emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of agricultural guidance and scientific research, supporting farmers, and providing them with agricultural equipment and machinery.

 

He also highlighted the need to rehabilitate veterinary laboratories, secure laboratory supplies, and improve the skills of the workforce.

 

Additionally, the minister noted the preparing of research stations specifically for livestock.
