Minister Makhlouf reviews with a delegation from the Russian province of Nizhny Novgorod mechanisms for developing cooperation

Damascus (ST): Engineer Hussein Makhlouf, Minister of Local Administration and Environment, discussed with a delegation from the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Canton in the Russian Federation headed by Peter Vitalyevich Pannikov, Deputy Governor of the Canton, the existing cooperation relations and ways to enhance them in light of the historical relations that unite Syria and the Russian Federation and the two friendly peoples.

During the meeting, which was held in the Ministry’s building, Minister Makhlouf listened to the delegation’s results of their tour, activities and meetings in Lattakia Governorate, and the prospects of joint cooperation, stressing support for all efforts to continue developing relations and increasing ties between the Syrian and Russian governorates and regions.

For his part, the head of the delegation, Pannikov, explained that the aim of their visit to Syria is to develop relations and discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the next stage, stressing the continuation of providing aid and support to the Syrian people in all scientific, medical, economic and cultural fields.
