Minister Barakat: Heading towards the establishment of small projects suitable for the agricultural environment in Quneitra

Minister of State for Follow-up of Development Projects in the Southern Region, Dr. Diala Barakat, stressed the importance of setting up small projects that are commensurate with the agricultural environment in Quneitra Governorate.
During the meeting of owners of small and micro-enterprises in Quneitra governorate, Barakat pointed out the importance of identifying the quality of existing projects and the possibility of providing the necessary support, overcoming difficulties, and searching for solutions to work out obstacles according to the available possibilities.
Barakat pointed out that the government is working to provide assistance and expertise to those wishing to establish investment and development projects that contribute to the development of the governorate, create material income, improve the reality of families and create job opportunities.
Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Ehab Ismandar, confirmed that there are 10 licensed projects in Quneitra that include beekeeping, cows, fish and sheep fattening, while the governorate is working on finding solutions to obstacles, simplifying administrative procedures that obstruct the implementation of these projects on the ground.
The Governor of Quneitra Abdel Halim Khalil pointed to the availability of the elements of investment in Quneitra in terms of infrastructure and the provision of incentives and facilities for the establishment of investment projects, especially in the agricultural sector, in both its plant and animal parts.
Participants in the meeting called for the establishment of alternative energy projects, rural women’s projects, and workshops for the manufacture of milk products appropriate to the nature of the work at the province, which mainly depends on agriculture, in both plant and animal, and the creation of markets for the products at encouraging prices.
The Minister also toured the industrial area of Helles and the craft area in the town of Khan Arnabeh.
