Minister al-Zoubi: Aggression Ball of Fire and Flames to Burn NOT only Syria but the Middle East in its Entirety

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian Government has never used chemical weapons, if any, not in Damascus Countryside, Ghoutta, nor in any place in Syria, because we have a clear system of values, reiterated Minister Omran al-Zoubi of Information.

Interviewed by al-Maydeen Satellite TV, Minister al-Zoubi added that had the Syrian Government possessed chemical weapons, it would never ever use them against anybody, asserting that this is but the political, legal, and moral stand of Syria.

Minister al-Zoubi disclosed that the chemical materials confiscated and those used by the armed terrorist groups are Western, Saudi and Turkish made, pointing out that the foreign countries which send even chemical weapons ready for use should be questioned.

”Chemical investigation committee should investigate the source of chemical weapons possessed by the armed terrorists,” added the Minster, reiterating that the use of any mass destruction weapons for Syria, the State of the wise and responsible, is but a red line.

Minister al-Zoubi underscored that the armed terrorists who fired two missiles equipped with chemicals in Damascus Countryside, according to documented satellite images by Russians, should put their arms down, withdraw and allow international investigation team, currently in Syria, free access to the allegedly hit area.

The al-Qaeda affiliated foreign armed terrorist groups from 83 countries, operating in Syria would use every thing to strike against the Syrians; hence they lack any human feeling and hence their agenda is but to spread panic and fear among the people and accuse the Syrian State of perpetrating such crimes, Minster al-Zoubi underlined.

The Syrian Army has discovered in Jobar, Damascus Countryside, during its operations today warehouses for stockpiling chemical weapons and their materials, made in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Germany and other Western countries.

The Minister declared that Syria is transparently cooperating with the UN chemical investigation team, which Syria called for in the aftermath of the terrorist chemical attack against Khan al-Assal last March.

”Syria, however, is never to allow an inspection team, which would be a breach to national sovereignty. It would be unacceptable under any pretext,” outlined Minister al-Zoubi.

The Minister asserted that the terrorists’ recent attack in Damascus Countryside, on the first day of the UN chemical investigation team mission, aimed at diverting the team from its course of work and aborting its work, hence anti-Syria forces and terrorists are dismayed over the Syrian response.

Minister al-Zoubi questioned the would be done by the international community regarding the terrorists’ use of chemical equipped missiles.

Minister al-Zoubi asserted that the terrorist groups in Syria resort to the use of chemical weapons in a bid to stop the advancement of the Syrian forces.

”We have proofs about the terrorists’ use of chemical weapons,” underscored Minister al-Zoubi, reiterating that there would never be retreat from combating terrorism in Syria.

”Striking Syria would never be a picnic for anybody,” added Minister al-Zoubi, citing the standing regional and international equations, asserting that any aggression against Syria would be but a ”ball of fire and flames to burn not only Syria but the Middle East in its entirety”.

”Syria’s fight against the terrorists is a continued battle,” underscored Minister al-Zoubi, saying that the operations against terrorists achieve positive progress.

Minister al-Zoubi reiterated Syria’s readiness to participate in the proposed Geneva 2 with no prior conditions, asserting that the ball is in the court of those who reject the political track.

”The political track is a national necessity, and the combating  of terrorism is a national, regional and international necessity.” Outlined Minister al-Zoubi.
