Minister Al-Miqdad concludes a visit to the Sultanate of Oman

On March 22nd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad concluded his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

Minister Al-Miqdadwas seen off at Muscat International Airport by the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, a group of senior officials of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Syrian ambassador to Muscat, Dr. Bassam Al-Khatib.

Al-Miqdad’s visit program included important meetings with senior Omani officials in the political, cultural, diplomatic and media fields, where he met with the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, the Special Representative of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and the Lieutenant-General Sultan bin Muhammad al-Nu’mani, Minister of the Royal Office.

 

During the visit, the Syrian and Omani sides held an official session of talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by the foreign ministers of the two countries.

The minister reviewed the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries and the common desire to enhance them in various fields.

During the meetings, Minister Al-Miqdad conveyed the appreciation of the Syrian leadership for the wise stances of the Sultanate of Oman and its stance.

The Omani side expressed its stand with Syria in its war against terrorism that is targeting it and stressed that the stability and security of Syria is necessary for the stability of the region and the world.
