Millions of Iranians celebrate 37th anniversary of Islamic Revolution

Tehran – Millions of Iranians were taken to the streets in various cities and towns across the country on Thursday to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Tehran took part in the rallies, SANA reported.

 

The nationwide rallies mark the victory of the 1979 Revolution, led by late Imam Khomeini, which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
