Mikdad, Wang Yi exchange congratulations on the 68th anniversary of the establishment of Syrian-Chinese diplomatic relations
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Syria and China, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
Mikdad affirmed his desire to boost bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields and his commitment to implementing presidential directives that reflect the spirit of the important consensus between the leaders of the two countries, which they expressed during the historic summit that brought them together in the city of Hangzhou last September, stressing that the growing momentum of high-level relations is nothing but a reflection of these agreements, which are perfectly in line with the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
In turn, Minister Wang Yi stressed that Chinese-Syrian relations are deeply- rooted in history, as bilateral relations have maintained a good pace of development in recent years.
Yi added that he is fully prepared to work with the Syrian side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries in Hangzhou to enhance mutual support and international cooperation and push the strategic relations between the two countries to further progress.
