Mikdad: Syria supports Palestinians in confronting crimes of Israeli occupation

 

Damascus – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad discussed on Wednesday with Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, the director of the Political Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) the latest developments in Syria and the occupied Palestinian territories, SANA reported.

Mikdad affirmed that Syria stands side by side with Palestinian people and support their steadfastness in confronting Israeli occupation and its crimes, pointing out that the Palestinian cause will remain at the top of Syria’s priorities despite what is happening in Syria.

Mikdad also stressed Syria’s adherence to the political solution of the crisis, adding that Syria supports all the initiatives that preserve its unity and sovereignty in conjunction with the fight against terrorism.

 

For his part, Abdul-Hadi stressed the keenness of Palestinian people on reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria in a way that preserves its unity.

The ambassador hailed the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to continue delivering aid and health assistance to the locals of Yarmouk Camp neighborhood in Damascus who were displaced by ISIS terrorists and moved to the nearby towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm.
