Mikdad, Lavrov discuss developments in region, bilateral cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faissal Al-Mikdad and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday discussed the latest developments in the region and the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza.

During the meeting, the two sides underlined the need for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two ministers discussed in details the practical sides to continue bilateral cooperation in all fields, including the holding of joint activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two states.
