Mercenaries of the Turkish occupation deprive 24 villages in Tal Tamer in Hasakah of electricity

Locals in several villages in the northern and southwestern countryside of Tal Tamer town in Hasakah have been suffering from electric power cuts for more than a month because of the criminal practices of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation who attack the power networks, loot transformers and power lines and hinder maintenance and repair works.

In a statement to SANA, Director of the General Electricity Company in Hasakah Anwar Al-Okla said that Al-Kouzaliyeh village, as well as three other villages in Tal Tamer southwestern countryside get their electricity from the power lines coming from Mabrouka electricity station which is located in the areas held by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation. He pointed out that these villages can’t currently get electricity from Tal Tamer station, because this requires electric grids and columns, which are not available at present.

On the situation of electricity in the northern countryside of Tal Tamer, Al-Okla said that the locals of 20 villages, which get electricity from Zarkan/Mazri power line, have been without electricity since January 6th because of the repeated attacks by the Turkish occupation mercenaries on the electricity station of Tal Tamer and on the power lines feeding it.

He noted the company’s repeated attempts to fix the electrical faults despite high risk, since these villages are adjacent to the areas held by the Turkish occupation’s mercenaries.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, positioned in the city of Ras Al-Ayn and its countryside, have repeatedly targeted the infrastructure and service facilities in the northern and western countryside of Hasakah to prevent the locals from having access to different services. The Tel Tamer substation, in addition to the electricity lines and networks feeding it, have been targeted five times after these mercenaries were positioned in this area, causing prolonged and repeated power cuts.
