Memories from Baghdad

When we arrived to the Iraqi capital Baghdad we felt the nice and fresh perfume of history everywhere. Each stone , each corner in this city said: you are welcome not to your second but to your  first home.

The dreams capital Baghdad decided to challenge death , so it opened the life’s  book to show others wonderful chapters in this book.

The sun wakes up early to say to Tigris: good morning my favorite river , can I wash my face by your silver water ? The river’s answer is very clear : don’t ask me because you do not need an invitation when you enter your house. The quite river shakes its head , and the sun knows that it has invitation to visit it all the times.

We saw Baghdad museum and we greeted all the statues there because we thought they are real persons not just statues.

The American forces occupied Iraq for ten years and they tried to destroy the Iraqi civilization , but they forgot  that the rose of life is stronger than the cartridge of death.

We heard from our friends in Iraq many stories telling us how the American dirty invasion tried to create sectarian conflicts among the Iraqi social spectra, but it failed because the solid Iraqi society succeeded to win the battle and the American plans had gone with the wind.

Everything was wonderful in this kind Arab country , but the most wonderful thing was the emotion of Iraqi people for Syria.

We have read in their eyes how much they love the sky, the desert, the sea and the mountains of Syria.

They told us that we should be too careful to protect their country Syria , and they told us that Iraq and Syria are one country , one body.

They advised us to recognize the American game; this game has one goal to see the Arab world immersed in confusion, anarchy and civil wars.

They said: You think that the American glass has sweet taste but in fact it is very bitter , please don’t drink from the same glass.

We left Baghdad with our memories as the life in our hearts for a long time and perhaps forever.
