Members of the Syrian community in Russia and Egypt voice solidarity with their country in the face of terrorism

Members of the Syrian community in Russia and the Syrian students studying in the Russian universities and institutes as well as a number of Russian citizens on Saturday visited the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Moscow to express solidarity with their homeland in the confrontation of terrorism and its sponsors.

The visitors laid wreaths and lit candles at the entrance of the embassy in mourning of the martyrs in the terror attack that targeted the officers during their graduation ceremony from the Military Academy in Homs and that resulted in the martyrdom of dozens and the injury of hundreds of civilians and military personnel.

Talking to members of the community, the Syrian Ambassador to Russia Bashar Al-Jaafari stressed that Syria, despite the great loss, will remain strong, resistant to its enemies and steadfast thanks to its leadership, army, people, and internal and expatriate energies, explaining that the more the escalation against the Syrian people and its human capabilities inside the country and abroad. He affirmed that escalation intensifies, the stronger and more violent Syria becomes.

Meantime, the Syrian community in Egypt denounced the terrorist attack on the Military Academy, expressing condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs.

Members of the community renewed their support for their motherland, Syria, wishing speedy recovery to those wounded in this criminal attack.

Moreover, a number of Egyptian personalities have condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Military Academy in Homs on Thursday, stressing their support for Syria I its war on terrorism.

Egyptian MP Atef Maghawri said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo that this cowardly act is part and parcel of previous terrorist crimes, which affirms that the Syrian state is being targeted because of its leading role in resisting the Zionist-American schemes.

he clarified that this criminal act was committed by some groups backed by regional and international powers in a terrorist scheme that aim at undermining the steadfastness of the Syrian Army and people. He reiterated the need to support the Syrian state and army in the confrontation of all the conspiracies.

For his part, Egyptian journalist Osama Al-Dalil, deputy Chief Editor of Al-Ahram Al-Arabi website, stressed his condemnation of the terror attack, saying “we in Egypt feel pain for the suffering of the Syrian brothers and we support them.”
