Members of People’s Assembly: Filing a lawsuit against anyone who incited, participated in, or contributed to harming Syrians
On May 31st, the People’s Assembly held its fifth session of the third regular session of the third legislative session, headed by Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Assembly.
The Members presented their interventions regarding the presidential elections, as a number of them confirmed that the completion of these elections and the announcement of their results with the victory of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad as President of the Republic sent many messages in the Arab, regional and international levels.
A number of Members expressed their thanks and appreciation for the participation of a number of delegations from the parliaments of brotherly and friendly countries in accompanying and following up the presidential elections.
Some members also called for filing a lawsuit against everyone who incited, participated in, or contributed to harming the Syrians, preventing them from participation in the presidential elections.
At the beginning of the session, the members referred the draft law on the rights of the child to a joint committee consisting of the “Constitutional and Legislative Affairs” and “Social and Labor Affairs” committees to study the chapter on penalties and prepare the necessary report on it,.
The session, which was attended by Minister of State for People’s Assembly Affairs, Eng. Maloul Al-Hussein.
