Member of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, wins position of Speaker of PA

Member of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, won the position of Presidency of the People’s Assembly during today’s session dedicated to holding the annual elections for the Assembly office.

In addition MP Muhammad Akram Al-Ajlani was elected as Vice Speaker of the Assembly, Salloum Al-Salloum and Maysaa Saleh as Secretaries of the Assembly, and Fayza Al-Athbah and Muhammad Suleiman Al-Abrash as observers.

In a statement, Sabbagh thanked the MPs for their trust, stressing that he and the members of the People’s Assembly office will continue to perform their duties sincerely and honestly and exercising the legislative role, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, laws and internal regulations of the assembly.
