Member of the European Parliament: The countries conspiring against Syria have failed to achieve their goals
Havana (ST): A member of the European Parliament for the united Spanish left, Mano Pineda, denounced the coercive economic measures imposed on Syria by the US and the European Union, pointing to the failure of the countries conspiring against Syria to achieve their goals.
Pineda said, during his meeting with the Syrian ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Idris Maya, at the Syrian Residence in Havana that the coercive economic measures imposed on Syria “crossed all red lines, especially during the period of the Corona pandemic,” noting that these measures deprive Syria of obtaining medicines from the global market.”
Pineda, who is on a solidarity visit to Cuba, added that “the countries conspiring against Syria have failed to achieve their goals. Therefore, these countries are targeting Syria through economic and diplomatic means and obstructing a political solution to the crisis in it.”
