Meeting Minister Hallaq, Naumkin: Russian-Syrian relations are distinguished and moving forward

Damascus (ST): Minister of Information Dr. Boutros Hallaq met  with Professor Vitaly Naumkin, head of the Institute of Orientalism of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation, and the accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information in Damascus.

After the meeting, the Russian delegation held a symposium chaired by Minister Al-Hallaq with a number of members of the People’s Assembly, media figures, intellectuals, writers and university professors.

Professor Naumkin stressed during the symposium that Russian-Syrian relations are distinguished and moving forward, noting that Syria stands by his country in international forums, especially before the United Nations General Assembly regarding various issues.

The participants in the symposium presented a number of questions and opinions regarding global and regional issues of common interest on the part of Syria and the Russian Federation, which were answered by Professor Naumkin and members of the delegation.
