Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman in Moscow on Tuesday.
He welcomed broader cooperation with Lebanon and pledged assistance to its government in consolidating the nation.
Medvedev voiced hope for the expansion of bilateral economic and humanitarian ties. He congratulated President Suleiman on winning a prize of the Foundation of the Unity of Orthodox Nations.
The award was handed to him by Patriarch Kirill at the prize-giving ceremony in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on Monday.
