MOSCOW, March 16. (ST)- Moscow’s goal at negotiations with Kiev has remained unchanged: Russia wishes to see a peaceful, free, neutral and independent Ukraine, Russia’s chief delegate, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky has said.
“Russia’s current goal at these negotiations is identical to the one set at the very beginning of the special military operation. We need a peaceful, free, independent and neutral Ukraine, not a member of NATO or other military blocs, which would be our friend and neighbor, with whom we will be developing relations and building a common future, and which will not be a springboard for a military or economic attack against our country. Our goal remains unchanged,” Medinsky said.
He pointed out that “literally every digit and every letter in the agreements” was being discussed with the Ukrainian side with utmost accuracy.
“We would like this agreement to last for the lifetime of many generations and to let our children live in peace that will rest upon the foundation this negotiating process is creating,” Medinsky explained.
