Medical Center in Damascus received the ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate for quality services

Abi Ther Al- Ghafari Medical Center in Damascus received the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate on the development of medical work and good quality services.

The Center, located in Mezzeh in Damascus, provides medical services to more than 2800 registered families, including vaccinations, radiography and lab tests, in addition to various services that cover, children healthcare, reproductive health, dentistry, diabetes, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dermatology and psychiatry.

Health Minister Hasan Al-Ghabbash affirmed the importance of this certificate, being an international quality certificate granted for applying the required international standards.

He added that the move is a new incentive that encourages quality work, pointing out that despite the impacts of the terrorist war and the economic blockade on Syria the medical and healthcare staff has exerted great efforts to provide best medical services to citizens.

On her part, head of the center Hazar Mikdad said that getting the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate doubles the responsibility and the motivation of the center’s staff to continue providing high quality services, pointing out that the center provides free medical services to more than 2500 patients monthly.

Saleh Al-Saleh, an expert at the Syrian Arab Organization For Standardization and Metrology, said that a work plan and a rehabilitation and training program for the center’s cadres on the quality standards of the infrastructure have been developed on quality standards for infrastructure and medical services.
