Medical and humanitarian initiative in Homs in support for those wounded in the terrorist attack on the Military Academy

The Homs branch of the Syrian Family Planning Association took the initiative to form a mult-specialization response team to provide medical and psychological services to the wounded and injured as a result of the terrorist attack that targeted innocent students and their families at their graduation ceremony at the Military Academy in Homs.

The coordinator of the Syrian Family Planning Association branch in Homs, Ziwar Tayara, explained that a plan had been developed in coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, forming a medical, health, and psychological support team, conducting a questionnaire, and taking the residence addresses of the wounded to follow up on their situation at their homes after leaving the hospitals, in coordination and cooperation with the association’s administration in the governorates.

On her part, the head of the youth committee of the association, Nour Al-Masry, indicated that the team visits the wounded in hospitals in Homs to check on their health condition, find out their needs and provide the necessary services to them while they are in the hospital, and after they leave the hospitals to their homes, and to provide all forms of medical and psychological support until full recovery and the stability of their health condition is reached.

In addition, a number of cadres and volunteers in the association expressed their hope that the consequences of the treacherous terrorist attack against the people of Syria would be overcome through their solidarity.
