Medical and cosmetic products prepared from the Damascene rose

Damascus (ST): The Damascene rose with its benefits exceeds the aesthetic and economic aspect to enter the medical field as a treatment for some skin problems and safe natural materials that are included in the installation of cosmetics and skin care.

Rose water is useful in purifying the skin from pimples, melasma, and freckles, in addition to its role in nourishing and restoring the skin, according to the head of the dermatological clinic at Damascus Hospital (Al-Mujtahid), Dr. Huda Al-Aseel.

 Rose water, according to Dr. Al-Aseel, is used on the face before applying cosmetics, as it maintains the PH balance of the skin and helps get rid of excess oils on the face, in addition to its properties in treating dry skin. It is an effective moisturizer and disinfectant for sensitive skin and helps remove wrinkles and blackness around the eyes and fight signs of aging.

Dr. Al-Aseel indicated that the use of the Damascene rose water lotion reduces skin problems such as the appearance of pimples, eczema and psoriasis, in addition to having astringent properties, which helps to narrow large pores and reduce the appearance of skin oils, indicating that using it periodically reduces swelling that may appear on the skin, especially the swelling of the eyes in addition to the treatment of redness and irritations in the skin.
