Media office in Gaza: The occupation has detained more than 2600 Palestinians from Gaza Strip

The media office in Gaza has announced that the Israeli occupation has detained more than 2600 Palestinians during its aggression on Gaza which started on October 7th, pointing out that most of the detainees are from the medical staff and journalists.

In a statement on Saturday, the office said that the number of the housing units completely destroyed by the occupation reached 65,000 and the number of the partially damaged units reached 290,000.

The occupation, the media office also said, attacked 126 government headquarters, as well as 92 schools and universities that were put completely out of service, and 285 schools and universities that were partially damaged.

The media office explained that 1.8 million people, displaced from Gaza Strip, are still living in an extremely difficult condition in hundreds of shelter centers, pointing out that more than 355,000 cases of infectious diseases have been documented as a result of displacement circumstances.

The office warned of the risk of the spread of famine in Gaza City and its north and in some areas south of Gaza, as international organizations are not doing their part in delivering aid, food and various supplies, calling on the world to put an immediate end to this organized crime.
