Media martyr Sherine Abu Aqleh honored at the Palestinian Writers Union

Damascus (ST): The periodic activity of the Poetry Association in the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists celebrated the martyrs of the Palestinian media, under the title (Sherine Abu Aqleh, a voice that will not be forgotten), in addition to the celebration of the late Iraqi poet Muzaffar al-Nawab, who made the Palestinian cause a main topic for his poetry.

The periodic session was opened by the poet Saleh Hawari by talking about the experience of the martyr Abu Aqleh with the media and her coverage from the heart of the event of the practices of the occupier on the Palestinian people at home, referring to the late Iraqi poet Muzaffar al-Nawab and his poetic biography and his standing by and defending the Palestinian cause. He reminded the audience of his poetry collection Jerusalem, the bride of your Arabism.

 The freed Palestinian prisoner, poet Hussein Halabi, participated in an intervention in which he spoke about the qualities of the late martyr, reveling in her martyrdom. He considering her a symbol of Palestine and spoke about the importance that all trends and visions unite against the Zionist occupation. He recited a poetic poem talking about the Italian Vittorio, who stood by the Palestinian cause.

The narrator Abdel Fattah Idris also participated in a poem that talks about the lost glories of the Arabs, while the poet Dirar Abu Shaira considered the martyr Abu Aqleh the banner of struggle and the granddaughter of the Bishop of Jerusalem Hilarion Capucci.
