Means to accomplish reconciliation in Kefarya, al-Fouaa, Madaya and al-Zabadani discussed

DAMASCUS-State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar on Monday discussed with a delegation from the locals of Kefarya, al-Fouaa, Madaya and al-Zabadani means of cooperation to accomplish reconciliations in these areas, according to SANA.

Haidar pointed out that this meeting came after a series of meetings with the reconciliation committees in these areas, describing the reconciliation file as “long and thorny”.

The minister pointed out that the armed terrorist organizations want the crisis in Syria to last as they hinder the delivery of food and medical substances and prevent the evacuation of humanitarian cases.

He noted that some regional countries, mainly Turkey, are seeking to link the file of al-Fouaa and Kefarya with the file of Madaya and al-Zabadani to blame the Syrian government for any failure, adding that the meeting delivers a message to the world that the Syrian people are united and invincible.

Haidar affirmed that the “enemies” want to derail reconciliations in light of the current escalation in Deir Ezzor which is in a way linked to what is happening in al-Fouaa, Kefarya and some areas in Damascus Countryside.

In a press statement, Jamil Yousef, a member in the reconciliation committee of Madaya and Boukin, said that the meeting aims at addressing the local reconciliation file.

He pointed out that work is underway through a joint delegation to reach a temporary or permanent truce in the villages surrounding Kefarya and al-Fouaa and popular meetings are held in these areas as well as in al-Zabadani to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid.
