The Chairman of the Damascus and Rural Industry Chamber Ghazwan Al-Masri, and a number of members of the chamber’s Board of directors discussed with the ambassador of India in Damascus, Dr. Ershad Ahmed, the aspects of Joint Economic Cooperation and ways to take advantage of the economic potentials and components in the two countries and translate them into concrete cooperation projects.
The meeting addressed the areas of cooperation in the petrochemical industry, networking between businessmen and companies of the two sides, benefiting from Indian expertise in the engineering, pharmaceutical and food industries, software, Mechanical Industries and others.
The Indian ambassador stressed his country’s keenness to strengthen joint cooperation relations with Syria in various fields, pointing out the importance of the meetings he held to enhance joint cooperation between the unions of industries and chambers of Commerce in both countries to create channels of communication and joint dialogue between the business communities, thus contributing to the improvement of economic relations between the two countries.
A number of members of the chamber’s Board of directors asked the Indian side to provide them with the agenda of specialized exhibitions in India to participate in, pointing to the possibility of cooperation in the field of drama and cinema, especially dubbing through coordination with the chamber’s Film Industry Committee.
