The statement said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad received with strong condemnation the targeting of the Iranian consulate in Damascus by Israeli aircraft, in a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Republic, and in great disregard for international agreements and conventions that guarantee protection of diplomatic and consular headquarters.”

The statement added: “The Ministry denounces this shameful attack and reaffirms the necessity of respecting diplomatic and consular headquarters and the sovereignty of states, in accordance with the international law.”

Tajikistan also condemned the Israeli terrorist attack on the Iranian consulate, affirming that such actions violate international laws, especially the Vienna Conventions and they are completely unacceptable.
