Massive demonstrations in Cuba and the United States denouncing the Israeli genocidal crimes in Gaza Strip
HAVANA, (ST) – Yesterday, Cuba witnessed a massive demonstration in various parts of the country in support of the Palestinian people and denouncing the crimes of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation authorities in Gaza Strip.
Telesur channel reported that, in coordination with the Communist Youth Union of Cuba and other social organizations, a large solidarity demonstration was organized with the Palestinian people in the capital, Havana, and various Cuban cities to demand an end to the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza Strip and the protection of the Palestinian people. It added that the mobilization in Cuba, as in many other countries around the world are coming to confront and stop the Israeli aggression against the city of Rafah, which hosts more than a million Palestinians.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who had previously called for demonstrations on the X platform said: Cuba, which will never be indifferent to crime, joins the International Day in Support of the Palestinian People, and demands an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza, no more brutality, no more violations, no more impunity.
This is not the first time that the Cuban people have gathered in the streets to protest war crimes committed by “Israel” in Gaza Strip. On November 23, Cubans went out in a massive solidarity march with Palestine, and against genocide as well.
In the United States, thousands of supporters of the Palestinian people demonstrated yesterday in the city of Los Angeles to demand an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, which has continued since October, and which has caused the death and injury of hundreds of Palestinians.
The American newspaper Los Angeles Times reported that demonstrators gathered outside the municipal building, waving Palestinian flags and carrying banners reading: “Stop genocide,” “Release two million hostages trapped in Gaza,” and “Cease fire now.”
Similar demonstrations took place in major American cities across the country, including San Francisco, Seattle, New York and Washington.
