Massive crowds gather in Hama to condemn Israeli attacks and support Syrian sovereignty and unity

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Asi Square in Hama this afternoon to condemn the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria and its blatant interference in internal affairs. They expressed support for the government and for the stability of the country and the unity of its land and people.

The demonstrators denounced Israel’s attempts to incite sectarian strife and discord, emphasizing that the clock is ticking in Syria, and that the Syrian people are today more determined and resolute in building and reviving their country.

A number of demonstrators confirmed to a SANA correspondent that, just as the Syrians toppled the former regime with all its might, they are capable, through their national unity, of thwarting all partition schemes fueled by the Israeli enemy.

They added: “Syria will remain one and united for all its people, despite the threats of Syria’s enemies and those lurking in its wake.”

Lawyer Abdul Nasser Khoshan, a member of the political administration in Hama Governorate, described the solidarity stand as a steadfast stand to preserve the sovereignty of the Syrian state, its independence, and the unity of its land and people, and a denunciation of the Israeli aggression and its attempts to sow division among the people and obstruct the process of reconstruction and stability.
