Mass in Brussels for the souls of the martyrs of the terrorist attack on the Military College in Homs

Today, the parish of the Syriac Catholic Church of Our Lady of Deliverance in the Belgian capital, Brussels, held a mass for the souls of the martyrs of the terrorist attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of officer cadets at the Military College in the city of Homs.

The Mass was attended by the head of the Syrian diplomatic mission to the European Union in Brussels, Minister Plenipotentiary Ammar Al-Arsan, members of the diplomatic mission, a large crowd of Syrian expatriates, and Belgian citizens in attendance.

In turn, the parish priest, Father Touma Habbaba, expressed in his speech his deep sadness and grief over the loss of the martyrs after years of raising them to serve the nation and defend its land and people .

In a related context, Father Touma stressed the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to live in a free and independent country in safety and dignity

In turn, Al-Arsan stressed the importance of the message reflected in the solidarity of Syrians in the diaspora with their families at home, which confirms that Syria does not bend and is a firm structure that does not break, no matter how its enemies try to do so.

Al-Arsan stressed that the solidarity and belonging shown by the attendees today confirms that we are a people committed to our cause, reject aggression, sanctify the values of peace, freedom and human dignity

At the conclusion of the mass, the participants offered their condolences to the head and members of the diplomatic mission for the martyrs of Syria, renewing their solidarity with their families back home, and their wishes for their country, Syria, for goodness and peace.
