He prayed to God to preserve our brave army that liberated Syria, to have mercy on the souls of tge martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the soil of the homeland and to protect President Bashar al-Assad. He also prayed for a good year full of hope, joy and delights for all the Syrians.
In a statement to news reporter in Aleppo, Archbishop Boutros Marayati, head of the Armenian Catholic community in Aleppo, said: This day is the International Day of Peace, and we came to pray and raise supplications to God Almighty to grant us this peace in our country, Syria and the whole world, hoping that this year will be a year of amity, brotherhood, and peace among people, as the angels chanted in heaven on Christmas Eve: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”
