Mass demonstrations in Morocco, Tunisia and Istanbul against the Deal of the Century

 The Moroccan capital, Rabat,  has witnessed a mass demonstration in which thousands of people condemned the so-called ‘Deal of the Century’ which was announced by US President Donald Trump.

On February 9, protesters gathered in front of the Parliament and raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the ‘Deal of the Century’.

The organizers of the demonstration said that the demonstration aimed to show the Moroccans’ rejection of all attempts to normalize relations with the Israeli enemy.

 

In Tunisia, the city of Sfax witnessed a demonstration denouncing the ‘Deal of the Century’.

Protesters raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the deal, describing it as a “shameful deal” and burning American flags.

Protesters affirmed the Tunisians’ rejection of all Zionist projects aimed at marginalizing the Palestinian cause, Judaizing Jerusalem and Islamic and Christian holy sites and deleting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Also the Turkish city of Istanbul witnessed a mass demonstration condemning and rejecting the ‘Deal of the Century’.

The Turkish Saadet (Happiness)party organized the demonstration which was attended by thousands of Turkish citizens, including representatives of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP).

During the demonstration, the leader of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu said in a speech that the Palestinian issue is a crucial issue.

Kilicdaroglu said that the failure of the Israeli and American plans will only happen by the solidarity between peoples and Islamic countries.

On January 28, US President Donald Trump announced the terms of what is called the ‘Deal of the Century’.
