The Mashta Al-Helu Fine Arts Team is one of the projects of the Cultural Forum charitable foundation in Tartus. It is a model of cultural work in talent development in the Syrian countryside thanks to professional artists from various governorates who provide their professional experience by implementing specialized workshops that refine and develop amateur talents in the region.

The supervisor of the team, plastic artist Samer Ismail, explained to SANA that the Group was founded ten years ago by sculptor Alaa Mohammed with the aim of holding various training courses and workshops in several fields, including painting (pencil, charcoal, watercolor, oil), ceramics, Applied Arts and handicrafts, in addition to providing various types of support and assistance to talents.

According to Ismail, the team contributed to many events, activities and festivals, in addition to painting murals and prominent sculpture on all the walls that need visual beautification in the area.

The teacher, Samar Hanna, talked about her experience by holding ceramic workshops for children, showing that it is an essential and effective means of expression that allow children a rich space of imagination and creativity. Samar affirmed that the continuity of following up on talents and directing children’s potentials, developing and encouraging them is one of the most important objectives of the institution, which has proved its existence as a necessity for the development of the cultural and plastic movement in the region.
