Martini: “Expo Syria 2024” is an important window for promoting Syrian products to foreign markets

DAMASCUS, SEP.7, (ST)- The Minister of Tourism in the caretaker government, Eng. Muhammad Rami Martini, declared that the export exhibition [Expo Syria 2024], is an important window for marketing Syrian products to foreign markets for enhancing the productive capabilities of national industrial facilities, referring to the great efforts to make the exhibition a success.

Speaking to reporters- following a tour of the exhibition and his visit to the pavilions of the Ministry of Tourism-Martini focused on  the role of the Ministry in stimulating, embracing, sponsoring and marketing handicraft products and traditional heritage crafts as tourism products and encouraging those who are working in them.

He also pointed out that the sheikhs of these crafts  play a key role in transfering knowledge and experience to future generations.

Martini pointed out the importance of the Arab delegations visiting the exhibition, which contributed to increasing the number of tourists from sisterly Arab countries, in addition to Syrian expatriates.

He hopes that  that tourism will return to what it was in the pre-war years.

The Ministry is participating in the exhibition with two pavilions covering an area of ​​640 square meters, which include a number of tourism and travel offices and 25 craftsmen working in traditional crafts from the Dummar Incubator, the Syrian governorates, the Syrian Transport and Tourism Company, the Syrian Arab Hotels Company, the Federation of Tourism Chambers, and a number of participating hotels.
