Dubai, (ST) – The Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohamed Rami Martini, affirmed the depth of the historical ties linking Syria with the Emirates, China and Algeria. He pointed to the importance of enhancing and developing relations with these countries through fruitful cooperation and effective solidarity.
This came during a tour by Minister Martini of the pavilions of “Syria, the Emirates, China and Algeria” participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai activities, accompanied by the Syrian Ambassador to the UAE, the General Commissioner of the Syrian Pavilion, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, and the Consul General in Dubai, Kinan Zahreddine.
Martini toured the various sections of the Syrian pavilion and inspected the exhibits and the contents of the pavilion from the first alphabet to the listening room, the oldest musical notations in history, and the wooden panels collected by 1,500 Syrian artists in addition to the “I am Syrian” exhibition and the Trade Partners Department, which hosts a group of Syrian companies.He was briefed on what opportunities these companies offer in the economic and commercial field.
The Minister of Tourism also described the UAE pavilion as “a civilized edifice with a modern design in the form of a falcon spreading its wings on the horizons of leadership, lofty and with values of openness and communication”.
Martini described the Algerian pavilion as “a gateway to culture, history and development, a witness to all the tales of history, and a preserver of the country’s heritage.”
After his visit to the Chinese pavilion, Martini said that it “represents building a community with a shared future for humanity, which ideally combines innovation, opportunity, communication, cooperation, development, sustainability and other global trends.”
