Maritime transport companies resume their services between Mersin and Tartous after a hiatus of more than ten years
The first ship belonging to the Dolphin Maritime Transport Company arrived at Tartous Port at dawn today, marking the resumption of its cargo transport activity after a hiatus of more than ten years.
The General Authority of Land and Sea Ports stated on its Telegram channel that the company has begun operating three regular weekly trips between the Turkish port of Mersin and the port of Tartous, in a move that will enhance trade exchange between the two countries and support the supply chain and logistics services in the region.
The Authority affirmed that this return represents a qualitative addition to the maritime transport system in Syria and constitutes a promising beginning for a phase of economic recovery and integration.
