“Mariam” Movie, from Success to Another

After earning Grand Award of Dakhla International Film Festival in Morocco and the grand Award of Oran Arab Film Festival held in Algeria, the Syrian “Mariam” film won three new awards at Muscat International Film Festival.

” Mariam ” won the Bronze Award for best movie, also the Syrian actress Sabah al-Jazaeri got the best actress award. The third award went to Farhad Mahmoudi for Best Cinematography.

The movie is considered the first Syrian movie which participated in Gulf Film Festival which was held in the Omani capital Muscat after the unjust exclusion of Syrian movies from Dubai Festival in 2012 .

It is worth mentioning that the director of ” Mariam ” movie Basil al-Khatib is now busy with filming the final scenes of his long-awaited for new film ” The Mother ” in the capital, Damascus .

“Mariam” movie is starring by many outstanding Syrian stars such as: Sabah al-Jazaeri, Solaf Fawakherji, Abed Fahd , Asa’ad Feddah, Nadine Khouri , Mayson Abu-Asa’ad , Ahmad al-Ahmad Dimah Qandalaft and others.
