Margilov: BRICS States Rejects Foreign Intervention in Syria

MOSCOW, (ST) – Russian President’s  Special Envoy to Africa Mikhail Margilov has stressed that BRICS  states don’t accept any kind of foreign intervention in Syria’s internal affairs.

Russia Today quoted Margilov as saying on Tuesday to journalists that the forthcoming summit of the BRICS states, scheduled on March 26 and 27, will discuss the crisis in Syria and the principle that the Syrians themselves can solve their problems and that international community should help the Syrian achieve this goal.

The Russian president’s envoy reiterated that the history of all BRICS countries has nothing to do with colonialism as they don’t interfere in the internal affairs of the African countries and don’t impose democracy by force.

He pointed out that the summit will also discuss the situation in Afghanistan and the Iranian nuclear file.
