Marathon race in Damascus

On the occasion of National Environment Day and under the title of (We protect our environment with our cooperation), 350 athletes from the General sports Federation, Clubs and schools participated in a marathon race from Umayyad Square towards Victoria  bridge passing Al-Marja square, reaching Damascus Citadel.

Al-A’reen sport team topped the race.

Most of the players participated in the race to encourage voluntary  work to protect our environment.

It is to be mentioned that many trees were planted around Damascus during the race.
