Mansour: Zionist war crimes and genocide against the Palestinians must be put to an end

Permanent Palestinian Representative to the United Nations Riyad Mansour confirmed that the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in the Nuseirat Camp in the central Gaza Strip cannot pass without accountability. He called on the Security Council to hold an emergency session to discuss the repercussions of the occupation’s ongoing massacres in the stricken Strip.

The Palestinian Wafa Agency reported that Mansour sent three letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the General Assembly, in which he stressed the need to put an end to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. He once again called on the international community to take immediate action to protect the Palestinians and stop these horrific acts.

Mansour explained that the Nuseirat massacre, which resulted in the martyrdom of 274 Palestinians, is clear evidence that the occupation has once again chosen the path of bloodshed, terrorism, and stripping the Palestinian people of their humanity. Thus violating Security Council resolutions, General Assembly resolutions, the International Court of Justice, and all calls demanding an end to the aggression and the arrival of humanitarian aid.

Mansour warned of the increasing number of victims of the massacre in light of the inability of hospitals and medical teams to care for hundreds of victims who are struggling to overcome injuries resulting from the Israeli aggression, while the occupation continues to deprive the residents of the Gaza Strip of medicines, basic equipment, water, food and fuel.
