Mansour: The international community has failed the Palestinian people

New York (ST) – The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations  Riyad Mansour affirmed that the international community, which is based on international law, has failed the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to genocide in Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation, noting that 2.3 million Palestinians face death on a daily basis.

Mansour said during a debate session of the UN General Assembly on the report of the International Court of Justice: “The General Assembly is meeting today while the Palestinian people in Gaza are being subjected to bombing, siege, and an inhumane and criminal aggression launched by Israel against them, which led to the martyrdom of entire families”.

He indicated that no place in the world has witnessed the loss of a huge number of families, children, journalists, and UN relief workers in such a short period, while the occupation continues to commit massacres with complete impunity.

“There is no justification for the war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide that the Palestinians are exposed to as they struggle for their survival, including 2.3 million Palestinians who face death on a daily basis”, he added.

Mansour called on the international community to reject double standards in its dealing with the Palestinian issue and implement its international resolutions and obligations. He also called for stopping the Israeli aggression and ending its occupation of the Palestinian territories.
