Mansour: International community should include “Israel” in the “list of shame” over systematic violations against the Palestinians

NEW YORK, (ST)- Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Riyad Mansour has called on the international community to provide international protection for the Palestinian people and hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for the crimes they are committing against the Palestinians, especially children.

In a statement during a Security Council session via video, Mansour said that “the United Nations should include “Israel” in the “list of shame” for its systematic and continuous violations and practices that target entire Palestinian generations.

Mansour pointed out that the United Nations’ failure to hold Israel accountable for its crimes encourages it to commit more violations against the children of Palestine by killing, wounding and arresting them and depriving them of their most basic rights.

UN’s inaction against the Israeli crimes questions the credibility of the international community which claims that they seek an end to violations against the children of Palestine and the world.

Mansour indicated that the aggressive acts of the occupation authorities in Palestine, especially the suffocating siege imposed on Gaza Strip as well as the daily violations in the West Bank including occupied al-Quds, amount to war crimes, calling on the international community to take all necessary measures to provide protection for the Palestinian people.
