New York (ST): Palestinian Permanent envoy to the UN Riyad Mansour has demanded that International community put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities and confront their attempts to annex new Palestinian lands in the West Bank
During the periodic session of the UN Security Council to discuss the Palestine Question, Mansour called for halting all the illegal settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem. He also called for ending all other illegal practices of the occupation authorities including collective punishment and the siege being imposed on the Gaza Strip.
He concluded stressing that it is time to end the double standard policy which allows the occupation authorities to evade punishment and violate international law.
